Nat began his career with local Western League side Bridgwater Town before joining Swansea City in December 2004. Made a number of reserve outings for the League 1 side but failed to make the first team. Joined Bath City in the summer of 2006 after impressing in a pre-season friendly against Paulton Rovers, despite interest from Tiverton Town, Chippenham Town and Weston Super Mare. But after only 10 appearances was allowed to join Tiverton Town in October 2006. He returned to Bridgwater Town before following manager Craig Laird to Woodspring Stadium.
